Cheese from island Pag is the best known and most respected sheep cheese in Croatia. It is characterized by pleasant spicy flavor, light yellow to dark yellow color (depending on age). It is made from the milk of sheep which graze on the rocky pastures that are rich with various aromatic and medicinal herbs. With this special value gives the salt trace remains on the grass after bora - strong north wind that blows on the island of Pag.
